Blog Archive Stanford Reclaims the Top Spot in the 2018 Financial Times MBA Rankings The Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) is back at the top of the Financial Times (FT) MBA rankings, six years after its most recent first place finish. The GSB was ranked second last year. The 2018 FT rankings, which were released on Monday, listed last year’s number one business school, INSEAD, in second place. The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania stood in third place, unchanged from 2017, while London Business School claimed the fourth spot after reaching number six last year. Harvard Business School, which was ranked fourth last year, fell to fifth placeâ€"the school’s lowest ranking since 2008. A few new names appeared within the top tenâ€"the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) was ranked eighth, three spots higher than last year, and the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, finished tenth after claiming the 13th spot in 2017. The Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University, which surprised some by entering the Bloomberg Businessweek ranking top ten for the first time in 2016, took the most notable leap in the 2018 FT rankings by rising from 64th place to 45th.
